 Summary: A Cautionary Tale Comment: Service is a big problem.
I ordered this TV on 6-3-08 and was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered on 6-5-08 from TigerDirect. Unfortunately, there was no audio at all when it was hooked up. The merchant requires any warranty service be handled directly through Toshiba; fair enough. Several days elapsed when Toshiba tried to find a service to come repair it. I was advised of that shop's identity and phone number. I contacted them and was told that a part had to be ordered (although they never have personally seen the set I presume they may know their business). Since then, I have been told repeatedly, by the repair service and manufacturer, that the part is on backorder. The net result is that as of 8-14-08 I still have no audio (but have a very expensive paperweight) and no firm idea as to when or if this will be resolved.

I now have a functioning TV! The defective part was delivered and has been installed. Turns out it was a bad motherboard. The picture and sound on this set are now great. However, the above caution still stands. The delay was unconscionable.

 Summary: Regza is a Pleeza Comment: Looked long and hard at various LCD's and decided on the Toshiba. The installation was very simple and the menu is user friendly. Thought it would be difficult to install alone and happily it was a breeze. Love all the bells and whistles. Can add all sorts of other electronics and computers. Everything works well and the image is great. It's so good I want another for the living room.

 Summary: Outstanding picture and sound. Comment: I have had the tv for about 3 weeks now. The picture and sound are outstanding. Everything about the set is first class. The only thing I had a little difficulty with was the menu's for setting up the set but I figured it out after a few attempts and all is well.

 Summary: Great Picture - Great Features Comment: I've had the Regza 37RV530U for a bout 60 days. The picture is outstanding. I compared it to a Sony, Sharp and Samsung and there was no comparison. Two minor items. First, the IR window is in the center of the bottom bezel. If you use separate speakers, the center channel may block it. Second if you use a separte A/V receiver, I found the sound to be better using the digital output on the component (DVD, Cable Box, etc.) and connecting it directly to the receiver versus feeding everything into the TV and having the TV feed the receiver.
